FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Any questions?
Find information about sessions and booking here.
How does the first appointment work?
The first appointment is a space to talk about what brings you to us, ask questions and start getting to know your psychologist. It is also an opportunity to discuss your needs and what you are looking for in therapy.
How much does an appointment cost and how long does it last?
An individual therapy session costs 40 € and a couples therapy session costs 60 €. Both last 60 minutes.
How do I join an online session and what do I need?
The session takes place by video call, using an access link. We use Google Meet, but we can also use other platforms, such as WhatsApp or FaceTime. If you prefer one of these options, just let us know.
You need a phone, tablet or computer with a camera and microphone, an internet connection and a quiet space where you can speak in private.
How do I book and pay?
Click “Book an appointment”, choose the type of appointment and follow the steps to select your psychologist, date and time. Once you have chosen a time, complete payment on our platform.
We offer several widely used payment methods, including MB WAY, bank transfer, SPIN, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Revolut Pay.
Do I need to know exactly what I want to talk about?
You don't need to have everything worked out or know where to begin. You can talk about how you have been feeling, a situation that concerns you or simply the difficulty of understanding what is happening. The conversation can start there.
How do I choose my psychologist?
The training and experience of all our psychologists are checked by the practice. If you have no preference, you can select “No preference” when booking.
If you would like to see a particular psychologist, you can choose her directly. You can also learn more about each professional on the Our team.
What happens after I book?
You receive a confirmation email for the session and a WhatsApp message with all the details of your appointment.
What are the appointment hours?
Sessions take place Monday to Friday, from 08:30 to 21:30 and on Saturdays, from 09:00 to 12:00.
You can check available times in the booking calendar.
Are sessions covered by my insurance or healthcare scheme?
We have no direct agreements with insurers or healthcare schemes. Reimbursement depends on your policy or scheme, so we recommend that you check with your provider before booking.
We can include your Portuguese tax number (NIF) and healthcare user number on the invoice to support your reimbursement request.
Can I receive an invoice with my Portuguese tax number (NIF)?
Yes. Just let us know the Portuguese tax number (NIF) you would like on your invoice.
Are appointments only available online?
Yes. Individual and couples therapy sessions take place by video call. We currently do not offer appointments in person.
Are sessions confidential?
Yes. Sessions are confidential and follow the Code of Ethics of the Portuguese Psychologists' Association and good clinical psychology practice.
Your psychologist can explain the duty of confidentiality and its legal and ethical limits, including during the first appointment.
How often are sessions held?
The frequency is agreed with you, taking account of your needs, preferences and the pace you feel comfortable with.
After the first appointment, you can discuss with your psychologist what makes sense for you. The choice is yours and can be reviewed throughout therapy.
Can I cancel or reschedule an appointment?
Yes. You can cancel up to 48 hours before the scheduled time or reschedule up to 4 hours before the session starts.
I am already a client. How do I book my next appointment?
Click “Book an appointment” and choose the option for existing clients. You can then follow the booking process with the psychologist you already see.
