LEGAL INFORMATION
Cookie policy
We use cookies and similar technologies to save your choices, understand site usage and measure where bookings come from, according to your preferences.
Updated on 19 October 2026
What are cookies?
Cookies are small files saved by your browser when you visit a website. They can enable a service to work, remember preferences or measure browsing. We also use local storage: information saved in your browser which, unlike cookies, is not automatically sent with each request to the site.
What do we use them for?
- Saving your preferences: remembering your choices about visit measurement and advertising attribution.
- Measuring usage: with your permission, the analytics provider measures page visits and interactions, such as opening the booking options. We do not send information entered in the booking form for this measurement.
- Measuring where bookings come from: with your permission, we save an advert click identifier (GCLID), when available, and pass it to the booking service to link the booking to the original advert through the marketing services provider.
You can read the content, open the calendar and book an appointment without allowing analytics or advertising attribution.
What is saved in your browser?
This table lists the elements managed by the site and its analytics integration. Storage periods may end sooner if you delete browser data or withdraw the relevant permission.
| Name and technology | Purpose and provider | Validity |
|---|---|---|
| psico_ads_consent_v1 Local storage | Remembering your advertising attribution choice. Psicologias da Sofia. | 180 days |
| psico_analytics_consent_v1 Local storage | Remembering your analytics choice. Psicologias da Sofia. | 180 days |
| psico_gclid_v1 Local storage | Saving an advert click identifier, only when authorised. Psicologias da Sofia. | 90 days |
| _ga and _ga_* Cookies | Distinguishing browsers and maintaining session information to measure usage. Analytics provider. | Set to 180 days; the period may be renewed with consented use. |
| blog-like:article Local storage | Remembering your choice to like an article and allowing you to remove it. Created only when you click the heart. Psicologias da Sofia; counts hosted on Cloudflare. | Until you delete this site's data in your browser. |
Local storage entries have a validity period controlled by the site: your browser does not automatically delete them when that period ends. An entry may remain stored after expiring, without constituting valid permission.
Blog views and likes
Reading with the page visible for at least five seconds increases the article counter. This count does not save a visitor identifier in your browser. Each opening can count as a read; it does not represent unique people.
When you like an article, we save a random reference specific to that article to remember your choice. You can click the heart again to remove the like. Totals are shared across readers. The counting database does not save your name, email address, IP address or questionnaire answers.
Calendar and payment
When you choose a calendar to book an appointment, we load the booking service. Payment is offered through a payment service provider during booking. These services may use their own cookies or storage to provide the calendar, manage the session and protect payment against fraud.
Your analytics choice on this site does not, on its own, control storage by external services. The elements used may vary according to your browser, payment method and features used. See the booking service's privacy policy and the payment service's cookie information.
How to manage your choice
You can open on this page or in the website footer. In the settings, “Reject all” refuses analytics and advertising attribution. “Accept” allows both. Under “Cookie settings”, you can allow each purpose separately and confirm your choices.
When you withdraw permission, the site stops sending new analytics events, attempts to delete analytics cookies accessible on this domain and deletes the advert identifier it saved. This change does not erase data already sent to services, including attribution information passed to a calendar already open, or delete cookies on other domains.
You can also delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings. If you delete saved preferences, we will ask for your choice again. Blocking all storage may affect external services, including booking and payment.
